A 16-yr -old Guatemalan teen passed away this morning at the Weslaco Station in the RGV. The immigrant was apprehended for illegal entry on May 13, near Hidalgo,TX. He was found un-responsive this morning during a welfare check.
This is the fifth death of a migrant child in U.S. custody since December, according to the Associate Press. The CBP released a statement this morning via Twitter.

One death is one too many and our nation cannot allow these tragedies to become the norm for individuals, families and youth seeking asylum here in America. Children trying to enter the U.S. are technically being treated terribly and slaughtered.
