Tracee Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson will co-star in “Covers,” a comedy about the music scene in Hollywood.
Nisha Ganatra will be directing and bringing to life Flora Greeson script. Focus Features is partnering with Working Title Films on the movie. Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce with Alexandra Loewy as executive producer. Focus Features will distribute the film in the U.S., and Universal Pictures International will distribute overseas.
Dakota Johnson will play an aspiring music producer who endures an exhausting job as the assistant to a legendary singer (Tracee Ellis Ross) while trying to launch her own career.
Dakota is known for her role in Fifty Shades of Grey and Tracee is known for her role In Blackish. Tracee is also executive producing a new show on ABC called Mixed-ish.
This movie should be a hilarious film and will most likely debut at the number one or two spot in the box office when it releases.
