BlackPink’s Jisoo and Ahn Bohyun Are Reportedly Dating

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and actor Ahn Bohyun have confirmed their relationship.

“They are getting to know each other little by little with good feelings. (…) the two are continuing their mature encounters while being considerate of the other,” according to YG Entertainment’s press release about BLACKPINK’s Jisoo relationship with actor Ahn Bohyun.

This is the first time YG Entertainment has admitted and confirmed a dating rumor involving a member of Blackpink. The new couple was spotted at the airport in a new image obtained by Dispatch.

Ahn Bohyun reportedly rearranged his schedule to coincide with BLACKPINK Jisoo’s, allowing them to be together while she was on a sold-out world tour.

Ahn, who is seven years older than Jisoo, made his modeling debut in 2007. He made his acting debut in the 2014 KBS2 drama “Golden Cross.” Ahn is best known for his roles in “Descendants of the Sun” (2016), “Itaewon Class” (2020), “Yumi’s Cells” (2021, 2022), and “Military Prosecutor Doberman” (2022).

BLACKPINK cements their group in the history books.

BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink‘ tour has broken the record for the highest-grossing tour by a girl group, having grossed $100 million with plenty of more shows to go.

The Spice Girls’ 2019 “Spice World” tour, which earned $78.2 million, was reportedly outperformed by the K-pop group.

TLC’s ‘FanMail Tour’ in 1999 earned $72.8 million, and Destiny’s Child’s final tour, ‘Destiny Fulfilled… and Lovin’ It Tour’ in 2005 earned $70 million.

The Spice Girls’ ‘Spiceworld Tour’ in 1998 earned $60 million in ticket sales.

What Does BLACKPINK ‘Born Pink’ Tour Mean For K-Pop?

The ‘BORN PINK’ tour has proven to be an unstoppable force, captivating fans all over the world and breaking down musical barriers.

The tour began last October in Seoul, South Korea, and since then, they have performed 26 shows in 2022 alone, with a total audience of 366,248 people.

BLACKPINK has set a new standard for girl group tours with their infectious energy, dazzling performances, and undeniable talent, achieving a level of success previously unseen in the industry. What makes this extraordinary achievement even more remarkable is that it was achieved while there are still 29 scheduled dates remaining.

How did BLACKPINK form?

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are the four members of BLACKPINK. After spending years as trainees at YG Entertainment, who were looking to create a new girl group after the success of 2NE1, the group began releasing music in 2016.

The first confirmed member in 2016 was Jennie, who was followed by Lisa, the first non-Korean to join YG after passing the auditions in her home country of Thailand.

Jisoo and Rosé were announced as the group’s final two members shortly after. According to YG, the name Blackpink stands for “pretty isn’t everything” and “they are a team that encompasses not only beauty but also great talent.”

‘Whistle’ and ‘Boombayah’ were the first songs from the group’s first project, “Square One,” which was released in August 2016.

The group has since achieved success with the release of their albums “The Album” in 2020, which featured the hit single “How You Like That,” and “Born Pink” in 2022, which featured the lead single “Shut Down.”

BLACKPINK became the first female Korean act to headline the Coachella Music Festival in 2023, and the second POC female act to do so after Beyoncé.

Excitement has been building for the global superstar’s solo debut since the first teaser got posted on BLACKPINK’s social media accounts earlier this month.

Since then, JISOO has revealed a steady stream of viral content, including striking cover art, glamorous teaser posters, and a pair of stunning visual films, which have amassed more than 17.5M views on YouTube. In the first, JISOO rocks a feathery ensemble while cradling a giant poppy. In the second, she got shown in silhouette against a traditional screen.

Despite being in the midst of a world tour with BLACKPINK, JISOO and her team at YG Entertainment have pulled out all the stops to arrive at [ME] an event. The same goes for the dreamy lead single “꽃(FLOWER).” “You can look forward to JISOO’s new musical color that she hasn’t shown before,” a YG representative says.

Momentum is definitely on JISOO’s side. BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK WORLD TOUR has sold 1.5 million tickets, a record for a K-pop girl group. After completing 14 shows in North America and ten performances in Europe, the global hitmakers are currently in Asia. Soon, they will headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April and the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in July before an encore performance in Paris at Stade de France.

Did Sam Levinson Use BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim Stardom Just To Gain Viewership For The Idol?

Did Sam Levinson Use BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim Stardom Just To Gain Viewership For The Idol?

BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim role in The Weeknd and Sam Levinson’s ‘The Idol’ is limited, with Rolling Stone reporting that she barely got air time and an inconsequential story arc. She is set to play a bisexual character in HBO’s upcoming “The Idol” series.

Jennie’s role got limited to “three or four lines an episode,” and Levison “didn’t let her say much.” Her job “was to sit there and look pretty, basically.”

Check out social media reaction to the news.

Rolling Stone reported earlier today that the production delays on ‘The Idol’ were caused by Sam Levinson taking over as director and scrapping the nearly-finished project to rewrite and reshoot it.

Levinson reportedly increased “the disturbing sexual content and nudity to surpass that of Euphoria.”

One of the proposed scenes involved Lily-Rose Depp carrying an egg in her vagina & if she broke or dropped the egg, The Weeknd’s character would refuse to “rape” her.

Levinson ultimately scrapped Amy Seimetz’s approach to the story, “making it less about a troubled starlet falling victim to a predatory industry figure and fighting to reclaim her own agency and more of a degrading love story with a hollow message.”
