A fan of the X social media platform suggested two women for a “Latina Mt. Rushmore” in response to reposted photos of them in elegant clothing from 2002, sparking an online debate over who the final two could be.
Two names that came up in the response were Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba.
Many people participated in this online conversation. A commenter posted, “I dig it. But if you don’t have Selena and Eva Mendes on that monument too, it’s invalid.” Another commenter posted, “We need Eva Mendes and Salma Hayek in this picture as well.” A third commenter posted, “Eva Mendes, Salma Hayek, or Jessica Alba.” Another commenter posted, “Jessica Alba is in there, and that’s not up for debate.”
