Aja Smith Becomes The First African American Woman To Be A Referee In The WWE

The WWE is the largest wrestling promotion in the world, holding over 500 events a year, with the roster divided up into various globally traveling brands, and is available to about 36 million viewers in more than 150 countries.

WWE took over everyone homes on Monday nights with Raw or Friday nights on Smackdown. We would spent big time money on pay-per-view (ppv) for Wrestlemania where we would see Stone Cold Steve Austin stone cold stunner someone. The most electrifying man in sports entertainment would hit someone with the peoples elbow and then rock bottom them. Undertaker would be nearly unbeatable. One of my favorite matches of all time was Shawn Michaels Versus Kurt Angle.

Anyway let’s forget about all that right now. History has been made in the WWE. Aja Smith becomes the first African American women to be in the WWE. This is amazing the company was created back in the 1950s.
