Alabama Barker, the 19-year-old daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, recently addressed rumors concerning her health. Reports had surfaced alleging that she was hospitalized due to nicotine withdrawal after quitting vaping.

Taking to her social media platforms, Alabama clarified the situation, stating, “I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last. The situation occurred some time ago, and I was there for about three hours before being discharged. They provided me with a nicotine patch and an inhaler, and that’s all.”

Alabama emphasized the importance of not spreading rumors and focusing on moving forward. She had reportedly quit vaping to concentrate on her burgeoning rap career, releasing her debut music video for the song “Vogue” earlier this month, which featured her stepmother, Kourtney Kardashian.

The young artist celebrated her 19th birthday on December 24, coinciding with the annual Kardashian Christmas Eve party. She shared glimpses of her birthday celebrations on social media, showcasing bouquets and balloons, though she was notably absent from some family photos shared online.

Alabama’s decision to quit vaping aligns with advice from music industry professionals who caution that vaping can damage vocal cords, potentially impacting her music career.
