The much-anticipated series “Too Much,” helmed by creator Lena Dunham and co-creator Luis Felber, has announced its star-studded cast, joining previously announced leads Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe. Set against the backdrop of New York and London, “Too Much” promises to deliver a fresh take on the rom-com genre, exploring themes of love, isolation, and cultural differences.

Joining the ensemble cast are Adele Exarchopoulos (“Passages”), Adwoa Aboah (“Top Boy”), Andrew Rannells (“GIRLS5EVA”), Daisy Bevan (“The Alienist”), Dean-Charles Chapman (“1917”), Emily Ratajkowski (“Gone Girl”), Janicza Bravo (“Sharp Stick”), Kaori Momoi (“The Brightest Roof in the Universe”), Leo Reich (“Leo Reich: Literally Who Cares?!”), Michael Zegen (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Prasanna Puwanarajah (“The Crown”), Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”), Richard E. Grant (“Saltburn”), Rita Wilson (“Sleepless in Seattle”), and Stephen Fry (“The Dropout”).

The series revolves around Jessica (Megan Stalter), a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties, grappling with a shattered relationship and the isolating effects of her behavior. Seeking solace and a fresh start, Jessica relocates to London, only to find herself entangled with Felix (Will Sharpe), a man who embodies a myriad of red flags. Despite their connection’s complications, Jessica and Felix navigate the challenges of cultural disparities and the universal quest for love.

“Too Much” promises to resonate with audiences who ponder the possibility of true love amidst disillusionment while maintaining the signature wit and charm of Dunham’s previous works. With a dynamic ensemble cast and a narrative that traverses continents, the series offers a contemporary exploration of relationships and self-discovery.

Produced by A Working Title Television and Good Thing Going Production, in collaboration with Universal International Studios, “Too Much” is slated to consist of 10 episodes, each running for 30 minutes. Original music by Luis Felber’s band, Attawalpa, adds layer of depth to the series, enhancing its emotional resonance.
