An armed man with body armor was detained at a Missouri Walmart

At 4:10 p.m. SPD were dispatched to 3150 W. Republic Rd. to a Walmart Neighborhood Market. An armed white male in his twenties was detained by an armed off-duty fireman until officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody. SFD Police say he had 100+ rounds of ammunition. Off-duty firefighter with concealed carry gun held him at gunpoint until officers arrived about 3 minutes later. The man has now formally been charged with “1st degree making a terrorist threat” by Springfield Police. They identified him officially as Dmitriy N. Andreychenko.
