Anna Lore is officially knee-deep in horror movie franchises because not only has Final Destination: Bloodlines cemented Julia as the girl who died in the most bizarre manner tossed from atop a dumpster by a trash truck, but it seems there is indeed a market for it because not only is it doing well in theaters, but The Black Phone 2 is currently dominating the box office. So you would think Anna would be fearless now that she has not one, but TWO movie franchises on her conscience, right? Wrong!
Death by Garbage Truck: The Horrific Truth of Final Destination
“I laughed about the stunt in my death because it was so complex: I had like a fake arm in my shirt, one special effects person behind me on a tether to pull it with, and one in the trash can who was supposed to help pull it out,” Lore explained on The Wayne Ayers Podcast, who appreciated the straightforwardness of death in the real world: “Just wallop me with a post like in Ria’s death, easy, out, done.”
On the question of who in the franchise might be able to outwit Death itself, the character chuckles. “No way. At best, you might get a rewrite that gives you thirty more minutes of life.”
The Black Phone 2: Gross, Bloody, and Much Scary
While she finds “Final Destination” to be funny and twisted in terms of story, Lore finds “_The Black Phone 2” to be very chilling in terms of concept. “It’s gruesome in terms of concept. The way they wrapped up the first Black Phone so perfectly that I was thinking, ‘I don’t even know where they’re gonna go in terms of
She remembered hearing that she was cast in the film while attending the Fantastic Fest with director Scott Derrickson and screenwriter C. Robert Cargill: “They were like, ‘You got it, you’re in,’ and I was just so delayed in responding to it, because actors don’t think it’s true until they’re on the screen.”
“She’s a genius. She’s fifteen, and she’s giving performances that took me ten years to understand.” Her proudest moments? “Working with Meline, who was my acting partner in the 1950s sequences.”
From blood-curdling screams to belly laughs
Following the success of two horror blockbusters, Lore entered comedy with “Give It Up”, a mockumentary film. “The biggest difference is: in horror, you’re sitting around asking yourself questions like: ‘Well, what would it feel like to be electrocuted to death?’ While in comedy, you’re not–you just get to go out there and play.” Her horror roots surprisingly honed her comedic skills to perfection. “It helps to know where to scream, turns out it’s not very different from knowing where to place the punch.”
Her current ambition? A Mel Brooks remake. “I heard they’re doing a TV reboot of Young Frankenstein. That would be the dream job. Horror comedy, it combines everything I love.”
The “Horror Queen” Who Just Wants to Watch Bake Off
Despite being labeled “a rising scream queen” by fans, Lore doesn’t see herself in that light. “My boyfriend loves horror films. Me, though, I’d rather watch The Great British Bake Off. If I were to cameo in any show at the moment, it would be that one.”
However, if Zack Cregger (Barbarian, Weapons) comes knocking with yet another dark franchise series, she would be interested.
AI Actors: Lore Isn’t Buying the Hype
When it comes to AI actors, Lore was very open about his opinion on the matter. “It’s just a headline. No AI can give you soul or originality. We’ll get one AI movie, it’ll suck, and then we’ll move on.”
The Future of Anna Lore: Screams, Sequels, and Straight Comedies
“It doesn’t bother me if they’re not making big budget pictures because I think there was something lost in the middle budget range in terms of original films being made.” “The Little Miss Sunshine era, it was so exciting to see something new happen.” She is, however, optimistic about the current state of the industry. “Give artists the money to make their Until then, Lore is walking the line between scream-worthy trauma and laugh-out-loud comedy. Whether it’s being squished in the trash truck, whispering on the haunted phone, or cracking in mockumentary format, Anna Lore has definitely proven one thing: She is not only surviving the Death universe, but thriving in it.
