‘Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 3′ Review: Thank You, Hange Zoë

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 has arrived and already has going on an emotional rollercoaster. The episode got split up into multiple chapters.

The Rumblings have begun, and after the first 15 minutes of the episode, I don’t think Eren Yeager’s supporters will be able to support him because it appears he’s not even supporting his actions.

At one point in the episode, he wants to save a kid but realizes he will destroy him anyway. He cries like there is no tomorrow and apologizes to the kid before his wall titans crush the kid and everything in their path. That scene shows Eren has a heart still but won’t give humanity another chance to destroy his home.

Eren is committing genocide but will allow Pieck, Reiner, and others to keep their Titan powers. He wants this crew to stop him because he can’t stop himself from committing genocide. I do predict that Mikasa Ackerman will be the one to have to kill Eren before the series is over.

The therapy session between the characters in chapter two was amazing to see. They rarely have time to reflect on anything, and we see these characters confess their sins and express their feelings about creating world peace after the rumblings, which seems to be Eren’s plan.

Eren made himself the ultimate villain, which forced his team and rivals to join together to defeat him. I think Eren took on that burden, and he wants them to eliminate him because it could be the end of all titans, which would mean freedom, like the flashback they did in the first chapter of this episode.

Now to our fallen soldier, thank you, Hange Zoë. One of the saddest scenes in the episode was Hange sacrificing her life to allow her comrades to escape as the wall titans approached them.

The moment Hange had with Captain Levi before he gave her the okay to fight the titans. Hange enters a solo battle with the wall titans like a badass. She appreciated them and started to rip them into shreds. Hange eventually dies but has a great moment with her fallen comrades in the afterlife. We get to see old faces, but I was happy to see them in peace.

The Rumblings episode represents the calm before the storm for this anime series. Yes, I know the titans destroyed everything, but it was very therapeutic to watch these characters reflect.

The second part of Attack on Titan: The Final Season – Part 3 will air in the fall. The announcement comes right after a mysterious special teaser got released.
