Blueface just learned the hard way that reckless internet antics can come with a hefty price tag. A Los Angeles judge has ordered the embattled artist to cough up $125,000 in damages after he spread false rumors about Jackilyn Martinez, the girlfriend of fellow rapper Soulja Boy.
Despite already being locked up, Blueface now faces yet another L in the courtroom after a default judgment ruled against him in a brutal defamation lawsuit. The case stems from a wild social media feud between Blueface and Soulja Boy in December 2023, when Blueface made explosive (and completely false) claims that he had slept with Jackilyn the day before her March 2022 baby shower, an event Soulja Boy himself attended.
The Tweet That Cost Him Six Figures
It all started with a messy Twitter spat between Blueface and Soulja Boy. In the heat of their digital showdown, Blueface fired off a since deleted tweet that sent the internet into a frenzy:
“I hit Soulja [baby momma] day before her baby shower and he payed for it.“
But he did not stop there. In a move that can only be described as unhinged, Blueface doubled down on his messy claims, adding:
“Till Soulja get a DNA test that’s my child lil bro I’m the daddy now.“
The internet ate it up, but one person who wasn’t laughing? Jackilyn Martinez.
Jackilyn Martinez Claps Back: “Enough is Enough”
Martinez wasted no time setting the record straight. In a sworn legal declaration, she made it crystal clear:
- She had never slept with Blueface in 2022
- She was never intimate with him while pregnant
- There was zero chance that he was the father of her child
Jackilyn admitted that she had a single protected sexual encounter with Blueface back in 2018 but stated that she never spoke to him again afterward.
Blueface’s blatant lies were not just embarrassing, they were damaging. Not only was he dragging her name through the mud, but he was also playing with the paternity of her child in a way that was deeply humiliating and harmful.
Cease and Desist? Blueface Did Not Care.
Despite receiving a formal cease and desist letter, Blueface refused to take down the false statements. Instead, he continued to taunt and harass Jackilyn online.
With no other choice, she decided to lawyer up and take him to court.
Blueface Fumbles the Bag Again
Because Blueface is currently serving time behind bars, he was unable to show up for court. And in classic Blueface fashion, he also did not bother responding to the lawsuit at all.
That is when the judge slammed down the gavel, handing Martinez a default victory and ordering Blueface to pay $125,000 in damages.
Here is the breakdown of what Blueface now owes:
- $100,000 for emotional distress and reputational harm
- $18,000 in special damages
- $3,070 in attorney’s fees
- $2,173 in court costs
Punitive damages? The judge spared him from that but at this point, that is hardly a win.
A Costly Lesson in Running Your Mouth Online
This case is a textbook example of what happens when internet clout chasing goes horribly wrong. Blueface’s reckless tweets were not just childish, they were legally and financially disastrous.
Had he deleted the post, issued a halfway decent apology, or simply shut up, he might not be in this mess. Instead, his refusal to back down just cost him over $125,000, money that, given his current legal and financial troubles, he probably does not even have.
Moral of the story? If you are going to lie on the internet, be ready to pay the price.
