Boruto Episode #218 Review: Thank You Kurama For Making My Childhood Great

OUR FAVORITE TAILED BEAST HAS VANISHED INTO THE WIND

Boruto episode 218 was another classic episode for the Naruto franchise. It started off by Kawaki tricking the f*ck out of Isshiki Ōtsutsuki with his shadow clone jutsu, when Isshiki tried to put his karma mark on him. Which led to Isshiki death but I’m personally not convinced he’s dead yet because in the very first episode of Boruto he had the Karma mark when they foreshadowed the Kawaki and Boruto battle that left Leaf village destroyed.

After Isshiki died, Borushiki appeared and stabbed Sasuke in his eye with the Rinnegan. He eventually told us his plan by feeding Kawaki to Ten Tails to create the divine tree. Later, Boruto regained control of his body after Kawaki was going to burn himself so Momoshiki could absorb his chakra.

Next part of the episode was the sad part. Naruto and Kurama reminisce about their times together, which will leave you shedding a few tears. After a certain point of reminiscing, Kurama let Naruto know that he would be the only one dying. Which made the moment so much sadder.

The last time I was truly sad like this is when Neji and Jiraya died in the Shipudden series. Kurama has literally been with Naruto since day 1. He hated Naruto for pretty much his first 15 years of existence but became fond of him. Naruto’s best asset is his charm and compassion. Which wins everyone over. Kurama has been Naruto’s backbone for the biggest battles. Without Kurama, Naruto would have been dead before he turned 16. Kurama was more than a strong tailed beast, he was the guardian Angel of the franchise.

RIP KURAMA, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
