BRITISH RISING STAR ALY BERRY RETURNS WITH DARK POP ‘WRAPPED IN BLACK’ PRODUCED BY SIDECHAINMANNY

Aly’s single ‘Wrapped In Black‘ showcases her love for Jazz and Blues and is a little glimpse of what she hopes to bring to the UK dark pop scene for 2022.

Berry first introduced herself to the music world with her contagious moody and dark R&B songs ‘Sorry I Tried To Love You’, ‘Sertraline’ and ‘Nirvana’’. Besides editorials and runway modelling, the talented star has been knuckling down over the last few months, working on her upcoming singles that will be released in due course.

Aly has much control over her music, writing all of her lyrics and creatively directing her videos. Being a passionate and fiery individual, Aly wants her fans to see the real her and she wishes to empower others to be themselves no matter how hard that may be. ‘Wrapped In Black’’ is a turning point for the songstress and Aly’s inspiration comes from artists such as Banks, Lil Peep and Amy Winehouse. Aly’s muse is Amy Winehouse and she listens to her every day as she is a fan of dark feeling blues and it’s often through something old that we can create new.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Wrapped In Black’ and how the single came together, Aly Berry says, “Lots are passionate about music, but for me, it’s more I need to be able to feel the music, I give it my all and write from my heart. Wrapped In Black, I wrote during a difficult period of my life, I’ve always found writing as a coping mechanism you see, my music, my songs are almost parallel to my thoughts, a dark journey in to my mind, the song is very personal and the name has a different connotation to many so I won’t go into further detail because I want the message to be received differently and interpreted by the listener”.

Often describing herself as a lone wolf which fits true to her zodiac sign, this 21-year-old born and raised Yorkshire lass, certainly has been on a rollercoaster ride in her short time. Having modelled since the age of 14, Aly has been signed to renowned modelling agency First Model Management and has featured on Vogue, Off The Rails Magazine and Marie Claire as well as working for brands Rimmel London and NARS among others.
