Brooke Scott: Racist Woman Harasses Native American Woman At A Pub In Rapid City, South Dakota

Brooke Scott, has been identified as the woman making racist comments in a Rapid City pub over the weekend. A woman that goes by Sunny Red Bear-Whitcombe, according to her Instagram, went into detail about the event that occurred on Friday. “Last night this woman came up and started calling my friend Chynna Lockett and myself “Rez bitches”, “ugly” and saying “go back to your reservation” for about 5 minutes while we were just waiting for fried pickles at Murphy’s Pub & Grill. Luckily, we were able to get it on camera.” Scott has been banned from Murphy’s Pub & Grill. The company will be working on training for any future similar issues so they will be handled better. The school Brooke Scott released a statement about the situation that occurred over the weekend:
Paul Mitchell The School Rapid City does not condone the actions of the student in the video and we have addressed the situation with the individual directly; however, because of the Federal Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) the staff and administration are unable to disclose the action taken. Please be assured that Paul Mitchell The School Rapid City has taken the appropriate action based on its policies and procedures, which include termination for “discrimination of any kind, bullying, harassment, or hazing of any sort toward staff, Future Professionals, and/or service guests.”
If a student is terminated for gross misconduct, which includes, but is not limited to, reporting to school under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, cheating, stealing, insubordination, threats, and/or bullying, such termination is final and may not be appealed.” The school’s Social Media Policy specifically states: “Paul Mitchell Schools does not permit ethnic slurs, personal insults, obscenity, intimidation, cyber bullying, harassment or engaging in conduct that would be unbecoming of a Paul Mitchell Future Professional and misrepresent Paul Mitchell culture.”

The school is closed on Saturdays and Sunday’s, business will resume at 9:00 am on Monday, and please remember the staff is not able to confirm or deny if any student is enrolled in our school per FERPA.
