Rising alt-pop singer-songwriter Caroline Romano has announced the release of her upcoming EP, It Took Me Falling, a collection of personal experiences about growth, perseverance, and self-discovery.
Romano’s upcoming EP is a collection of the singer’s already-released singles “Cruel and Unusual Punishment,” “Up the Stairs,” and “Unsteady,” along with three new tracks. These songs reflect the singer’s perspective on the emotional turmoil that often accompanies the pursuit of one’s purpose, love, or dreams.
Romano explained that the upcoming EP is a collection of the “beautiful chaos” that comes with navigating the unknown while learning from one’s hardships. “It takes falling to land where you’re supposed to,” she explained. “This EP was my process of coming to that realization. I think it’s a universal experience to question why we endure certain trials and heartaches. I’ve spent a lot of my youth writing about those experiences in my music. I think this EP is the flip side of that question. It’s my answer to why it’s worth living with your arms outstretched towards something you haven’t found yet.”
She has established herself with her emotional ballads mixed with high-energy alt-rock influences. Her music often incorporates themes of transformation.
Her 2022 debut album, “Oddities and Prodigies,” features 16 songs. Romano has also released several EPs, including “A Brief Epic” and “How The Good Girls Die.” These releases have caught the attention of media outlets such as tmrw Magazine, idobi Radio, Ones To Watch, and EUPHORIA.
She has become known for her energetic performances, which have taken place throughout Nashville. Romano has toured with Grayscale and Smallpools.
To celebrate the release of “It Took Me Falling,” Romano will be performing this Friday night at The End with special guests Valories and Cam Becker.
