Chappell Roan announced on Monday that she has broken up with Wasserman after new court documents were released showing flirtatious emails between Casey Wasserman, the agency’s top boss, and Ghislaine Maxwell.
In an Instagram story, she wrote that she’s “no longer represented by Wasserman” and emphasized the importance of values-based representation.
“I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.”
The emails that Roan is talking about are a part of the latest Epstein documents, a collection of court documents linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence in federal prison for sex trafficking linked to Epstein.
Although she complimented the agents at Wasserman, she made it clear that she was unhappy with the top boss.
“I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists, and I refuse to passively stand by. Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.”

Wasserman was not available to make a statement on the matter. Wasserman is an agency that represents athletes, actors, and musicians worldwide. Casey Wasserman is the top boss at Wasserman. He’s a sports executive and an entertainment industry big shot.
