Conservative ‘Trad Wife’ OF Star Anya Lacey Slams Florida GOP Candidate’s Proposed 50% ‘Sin Tax’

Conservative OnlyFans creator Anya Lacey, also known as “trad wife,” is resisting an OnlyFans taxation plan proposed by a candidate running for Florida governor. According to this candidate, OnlyFans income should be taxed at a high rate.

Lacey, 19, responded to an offer from Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback, a long-time Republican candidate who wants a 50% tax on the money creators earn on OnlyFans. “It would bring in $200 million that would go into our public schools, and it would end this online degeneracy,” Fishback said.

As Florida’s first-year governor, he promised to advocate for the first OnlyFans Sin Tax. He wrote on X: “If you are a so-called OnlyFans creator in Florida, you are going to pay 50% to the state on whatever you so-called earn via that online degeneracy platform.”

Lacey, who balances her conservative upbringing with her career on OnlyFans, believes there is a double standard in this plan.

Miami was founded on the cocaine trade, so it’s easy for anybody to take moral high ground at this point,” Lacey said. “This state has never been ashamed of people making money in a way that some people don’t agree with.”

However, Lacey pointed out that data exists that shows that over half of American adults have viewed pornography, with 27% of those individuals admitting to viewing it in the past month. But these numbers are likely much higher since people do not readily admit to it.

“If you think the public is gonna vote for this, you are assuming a quarter of them don’t watch this stuff. That’s not true. And to say nobody in Congress watches this stuff is not true.”

She also stated that the content on OnlyFans isn’t always explicit.

I have posted videos about fishing, baking, and my pets. Those are not explicit content. “But because it’s on OnlyFans, am I supposed to be taxed for it like it’s a sin?”

“This could go beyond just one site,” Lacey warned.

“If we begin with this, then what’s next? Are you going to tax every sex scene that’s in a Hollywood film? Every scantily clad photo that’s on Instagram? Every ad that’s with scantily clad women? Where do you draw the line?”

Her central point of disagreement with the plan is the way it has been conceptualized.
“Let’s call it what it is: a punishment tax based on a personal belief,” she continued. “If you call this a ‘sin tax,’ why not tax alcohol, tobacco, or other things instead?”

“As if you get to decide that the one sin is OnlyFans,” she added.

Lacey also questioned whether the tax would extend to the entire adult entertainment industry, beyond the content creators themselves, citing companies in Florida.

“So, if you’re taxing 50% of creators on Only Fans, does that mean you’re taxing directors, producers, or owners of studios, or is it just to penalize independent women who own their own content?”

She said: “This tax will make financial pressures on creators worse and is contrary to what conservatives believe about a free market and a small government.”

“‘OnlyFans takes 20%, and then there’s expenses for the creators, and then Fishback wants to take half of what’s left?’ That’s not what conservatives believe in if we believe in capitalism and small government.”

Lacey intends to continue operating online despite the political backlash. Lacey operates a dating website based on trad wife ideology and will not be leaving OnlyFans either. “This isn’t about morality,” she said. “It’s about control.”
