Cyntoia Brown released from prison

Cyntoia Brown, who was sentenced to life in prison when she was 16 after being convicted of killing her alleged sex trafficker, was released from a Tennessee prison early Wednesday morning. Brown, now 31, was granted clemency by then-Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam in January.

Cyntoia vows to use her experiences “to help other women and girls suffering abuse and exploitation.”
