Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion were once close. The two collaborated on the platinum single “Hot Girl Summer,” which peaked at number #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
So are Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion beefing?
Fans believe these two are beefing after Nicki Minaj released her latest song, “Super Freaky Girl” and Megan Thee Stallion released her new album “Traumazine” last week. The fans may have a point after hearing some notable lyrics from the two artists.
The Empressive YouTube channel points out that the record “Gift & A Curse” on Megan’s new album may be taking shots at Nicki. In the first verse of the song, Megan says:
“Fix your face, bitch, you hurt, hurt, hurt
All that talkin’ ain’t makin’ me nervous
Feelin’ yourself, put down them perkys.”
Empressive points out the lyrics could be a dig at Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself” record with Beyoncé.
From the lyrics, it’s hard to say if Megan was dissing Nicki or making a generic statement because many people are feeling themselves these days.
Nicki Minaj released Super Freaky Girl (Roman Remix) last Thursday, August 18th. In the third verse of the record, Nicki says:
“Don’t nobody wanna hear that weak shit, ho
In the game, fifteen, ain’t peak yet, ho
Tell that goofy get a chair, she was cocky, I could swear, ‘Til my old tape sold more than your album, drop a tear.”
This line could refer to Nicki Minaj’s Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape selling more than Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 compilation album Something For Thee Hotties.
Today, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Traumazine” debuted at #4 on Billboard Hot 200 album chart selling 63,000 copies. Nicki Minaj might have taken a little jab at Megan Stallion with a couple of tweets that got deleted.
