Footage of Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole in the face at practice surfaced today. The Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob is considering suspending Draymond Green for the start of the season.
Since watching the leaked footage, many suspects Poole and Green’s relationship won’t ever be the same. It could be difficult for the team front office because they might have to decide to get rid of their future or their veteran player. Trae Young even joked today about Green heading to LA after the footage leaked on social media.
Things could be interesting in the Bay Area because this could be Green’s final year with Golden State Warriors as his contract expires unless he picks up the player option, and it’s unlikely the Warriors will give him a max contract. So why not trade Draymond Green when you can get something in return?
Green for Russell Westbrook doesn’t make sense at all. The Warriors have an established backcourt, so it’s unlikely he’ll go to LA if he gets traded. The warriors could try to trade him for 26-year-old Myles Turner to help with their future roster. Don’t be surprised if this is Green’s last season in the Bay Area.
