Former “The Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo has recently opened up about a new chapter in her life—one that saw her navigate financial hardships and find an unexpected solution in an unlikely place.
In a candid interview with the DailyMail published on Feb. 27, the Emmy-winning actress revealed how the adult subscription platform OnlyFans became her lifeline during a challenging period.
“After the Sopranos alum reached a slump in her acting career, as she recently shared, she found herself in a tight spot financially and says the adult subscription platform OnlyFans helped her out tremendously.”
With honesty and candor, Drea shared that she was facing significant financial strain, with just $10 in her bank account, when she turned to OnlyFans. The mother of two, who shares children Alabama Gypsy Rose, 16, and Waylon Albert, 12, with ex Shooter Jennings, found herself in this precarious situation due to home expenses and the added burden of caring for a parent with dementia.
“OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent,” Drea emphasized in the interview. “I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did save us—anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids.”
Despite initial reservations, Drea quickly discovered the platform’s potential, realizing that her adult content could provide a means to address her financial woes. In a matter of minutes, she was able to alleviate some of her debts, including payments to Compass Real Estate, who had kept the sale of her house on hold.
“I was like, ‘holy s–t,'” she recounted. “In five minutes, I was able to pay back compass real estate who kept the sale of my house.”
But beyond its financial benefits, Drea found empowerment and liberation in her newfound venture. At 52, she expressed confidence in her appearance and embraced the freedom to be herself, even reveling in the ability to embrace her body in its natural state.
“For the most part, like, I look good, and the best part about it is I get to be heavier,” she shared.
Now, with her financial situation stabilized, Drea is forging ahead, determined to continue utilizing OnlyFans as a platform for both financial stability and personal empowerment.
