The infamous Mexican drug lord was confirmed as received at the Administrative Maximum U.S. Penitentiary (ADX) in Florence, Colorado on July 19. El Chapo, who has escaped maximum security prisons twice in Mexico, was given life in prison plus 30 years by a New York court on July 17. ADX Florence is the most secure “supermax” prison in the United States.
