Elizabeth Mitchell is a dynamic film and television actress who is no stranger to Hollywood. For years she has worked on some of the biggest shows in television including Dr. Juliet Burke in Lost, The Snow Queen in Once Upon A Time, and as Carla Limbrey in the new Netflix hit series Outer Banks.
Elizabeth stars in a new film, The Witch Hunt which premieres October 1st. She plays Martha, a woman who runs a safe house for witches.
Elizabeth describes the film as a more traditional suspenseful thriller. She says, “There’s a real beauty to the way that Elle (the director and writer) built the suspense. It doesn’t mean that you’re not going to be scared, you are, but there’s some real storytelling in here and every detail is perfect. Like she’s [the director, Elle Callahan] thought about every little detail. Um, and so it builds in such a way where you find yourself getting more and more anxious and more and more nervous. You’re like, what’s going to happen and the pay off, it’s worth it.”
During my interview with Elizabeth, we also discussed her thoughts on the series finale of Lost, joining the cast of Outer Banks in Season Two, hopes for a future and a dream role she would love to play!
