TwitchCon San Diego 2025 is supposed to be the ultimate gathering for fans and creators. Instead, it’s being marred with yet another nasty controversy surrounding Kick streamer N3on. The divisive streamer finds himself at the receiving end of criticism once again, this time for approaching Twitch creator Emerome and her friend PastaRavioli at the convention floor, only to escalate to insults and fat-shaming when the latter declined an invitation to an afterparty.

From “You’re Beautiful” to “Fat Friend” in 10 Seconds Flat

In the recently viral video circulating on X and TikTok, N3on approaches Emerome, calling her beautiful to invite her to his afterparty. When Emerome told him she declined the invitation for it being objectifying, N3on muttered an offending remark commenting on her friend PastaRavioli’s physique and left.

Emerome did not hesitate to call him out, tweeting the clip with, “Chat, get his ass.” She explained in a later tweet: “By the way, shocked I even have to say this, but I said ‘get his ass’ because of the way he treated my best friend who had nothing to do with our original interaction. F** that guy. No one insults my best friend like that and just gets away w it.”*

Death Threats rather than Sorry Words

Backlash soon followed, but harassment soon followed that. Hours later, Emerome indicated that she’d been getting death threats from the fanbase of N3on, causing her to leave the convention sooner.

“It was nice meeting everyone I got a chance to meet but it’s not worth going back,” she captioned a somber post.

At the same time, N3on attempted to be the victim, tweeting: “I’m never giving a girl a compliment again.” He furthered it with a second tweet going for the jugular with Emerome’s past: “I just found out she’s a cam girl with vids of dildos in her ass and she draws the line at someone giving her a compliment calling her beautiful. Am I getting trolled?”

Emerome Drops an Emotional Truth Bomb

Confronted with her abuse being brought to the public eye, Emerome issued a powerful and emotional account. She disclosed that at the age of 17 through 18, she was groomed and sex trafficked through a convicted felon, coerced into circumstances she never agreed to, and lived with constant fear for her life.

“I never wanted to have to talk about this because it’s caused a lot of anxiety,” she said. “It’s really upsetting that this was brought up like this & that I have to relive the trauma & address it.”

Her words recast the entire situation, highlighting the heartlessness of bringing up her background and underlining the risk that female figures within the gaming and streaming community are up against when lines are disregarded.

Internet Goes Haywire at N3on: Dragged and Roasted

It happened at a time when safety at TwitchCon is under increased scrutiny, particularly following an attack on another creator, Emiru, at the same event. Many are now calling for more robust protections for female streamers.

Fans and fellow creators rallied behind Emerome and PastaRavioli, slamming N3on’s behavior:

  • ‘What did I do bro’ then goes and fat shames. Sick, disgusting individual with a weak ego. I do love Em and Steph, great girls.”
  • “If at any point, ever, you need to know what kind of man someone is, observe how someone takes rejection and it will give your answer REAL fast.”
  • “When I did not think this clip could go any worse…. this is disgusting. Some men on this platform can do better.”
  • “His immediately going to body shame the other girl for literally doing absolutely nothing speaks volumes to me. Nonetheless, not all were agreeable.”

A percentage of users perceived it to be an overstatement: “Calling a girl beautiful is now objectifying them? Sure the guy was cringe, but can’t even compliment without modern day feminism messing it up.”
