Erinn Westbrook joins Riverdale Season 5 cast as a new series regular. KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and Cole Sprouse will all be returning for season 5 as well.
Deadline reported, Westbrook will be portraying the role as Pops granddaughter, Tabitha Tate.
“The ambitious, entrepreneurial granddaughter of Pop Tate, who has come to Riverdale to take over Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe in the hopes of franchising the iconic diner.”
All eyes will be on Westbrook character in season 5. After Vanessa Morgan called out the Riverdale creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and writers for mishandling black characters on the show earlier this year.
Riverdale will return for its fifth season in January 2021, and it will be accompanied by a time jump spanning seven years.
