Things may start to take a turn into Meek Mill favor with his wrongful sentence of 2-4 years in prison for a probation violation. Page Six reported that the FBI has launched a investigation into the Philadelphia judge conducting the case, Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for probation violations, originating from a 2008 gun and drug case.

The sentencing by Judge Genece Brinkley took place despite the district attorney and Meek’s probation officer asking for no jail time in the court. The Philly rapper is currently in solitary confinement. Meek’s attorney Joe Tacopina claimed that the Judge wanted Meek to quit Roc Nation and sign with a friend of hers for a management deal. She also reportedly made a request that Meek should re-record Boyz II Men’s song ‘On Bended Knee’ which he tributes to her and mentions her by name in the song.

A source told Page Six of the FBI interest in the case, “The feds have an interest in the judge and her potential relationships. This is an investigation looking into a possible extortionate demand. Undercover agents have been in the courtroom monitoring the Meek proceedings since April 2016.” A rep for the FBI Philadelphia field office and Joe Tacopina have neither confirmed nor denied these reports.
