Finn Wolfhard and Brooklynn Prince Talks New Film “The Turning”

The Turning is based on Henry James, 1898 novel, ‘The Turn of the Screw’ which is a staple of the horror genre, spawning numerous screen adaptations down the years. The Turning’s director, Floria Sigismondi, and writers, Carey and Chad Hayes based the film in 1994 instead of modernizing to this time in life. The hero of the film is Kate (Mackenzie Davis). Kate is a young woman who accepts the position of governess on a sprawling country estate. There she is charged with the welfare of two children – the creepy goth Miles (Finn Wolfhard) and the precocious Flora (Brooklynn Prince) – whose parents died in a car crash. Things begin to go bump in the night and Kate suspects the estate may be haunted by the ghosts of Quint, a sadistic groundskeeper who served as a bad influence on Miles, and Miss Jessel, the previous governess, who was held under the dominant sway of the cruel Quint.
We had the opportunity to talk to Finn Wolfhard and Brooklynn Prince at the premiere of The Turning last night at TCL Chinese Theatre.
The Turning will be officially out in theaters this Friday, January 24th.
