First-Look At Princess Rhaenyra and Laenor Wedding in ‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 5

HBO has released new images of ‘House of the Dragon episode 5 (“We Light The Way”). This episode will show Princess Rhaeyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon’s wedding. The two great houses will form, and viewers will see an extravagant feast, but in typical ‘Game of Thrones’ fashion, not everyone is pleased. Since we are at the halfway point of season one, expect the games to take a turn for the worse.

“We Light The Way” (House of the Dragon episode 5) kicks off with King Viserys and Princess Rhaenyra heading to Driftmark to arrange a political marriage with Rhaenys and Corlys’ son Laenor Velaryon. Princess Rhaenyra and King Visery’s relationship has never been good but especially after her mother and then King went off to marry and have babies with her best friend. Viewers can expect the trip to be awkward or very quiet.

Upon King Visery’s arrival to Driftmark, he speaks with Rhaenys and Corlys Velaryon about the two houses coming together. They are most likely discussing the rumors of Princess Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen upon the King’s arrival.

After an agreement between the houses, Princess Rhaenyra and Laenor had an opportunity to get acquainted before their big day.

While wedding plans are happening, it appears that Otto Hightower is pressuring his daughter Alicent to convince the King to make his grandson the heir of the Iron Throne because Otto was just relieved of his duties in the last episode.

The two houses are together and look strong at the wedding. We all see a sneak peek of Rhaenyra and Laenor’s first dance as a married couple in front of everybody at their wedding.

The most eye-opening image of this episode is Alicent Hightower wearing a green dress already means she’s pretty much repping the Hightowers over the Targaryens. So when King Viserys dies in the series, and he hasn’t made one of his sons the heir of the Iron Throne, we should all expect a clash between former best friends.

When do you think King Viserys will die?
