The first look at Ryan Destiny in the role of two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the upcoming biopic, The Fire Inside. Directed by Academy Award nominee Rachel Morrison and written by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, the film chronicles the inspiring true story of the boxing legend.
Destiny’s portrayal of Shields, a young woman from Flint, Michigan, who defied the odds to become a global sports icon, is already generating anticipation. She is joined by Academy Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry as her tough-love coach, Jason Crutchfield.
