The family of Tyrell Wilson, a 33-year-old Black man shot by a Danville police officer last month, has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city.
New cell phone video of last month’s fatal police shooting in Danville shows Officer Andrew Hall firing his weapon on Wilson, who was a homeless and mentally-ill Black man.

Police claim he moved at the officer with a knife. Video does not appear to show him make sudden moves before the officer fired.
