From One Queen To Another Queen: Karol G Succeeds SZA on the Billboard 200 Chart

Karol G becomes the first woman in history to score a #1 album in the US with an all-Spanish-language record. ‘MAÑANA SERÁ BONTIO’ debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 94,000 units (10,000 pure sales).

She joins Bad Bunny as the only artist in history to earn an all-Spanish language #1 album on the Billboard 200 in the U.S.

Karol G joins Selena as the only female artist in history to have a Spanish album reach #1 on the Billboard 200.

SZA’s ‘SOS’ is #2 on the Billboard 200 this week, with a further 87,000 units earned. It previously spent ten weeks at #1, becoming the longest-running #1 album by a woman of the 2020s decade.

‘Cracker Island’ by Gorillaz debuts at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,500 units (48,500 pure sales). It becomes their sixth top-10 album.

Yeat came in at #4, with AftërLyfe selling 55,000 units this week. Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ followed with 48,000 units sold. Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album sold 46,000 units. Metro Boomin’ HEROES & VILLAINS sold 42,000 units.

Don Toliver’s new album ‘Love Sick’ debuted at number #8 on the charts with 40,500 units sold.

The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ returns to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 for the first time since 2017, at #9 with 40,000 units. It previously spent five weeks at #1.

Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ rounded out the top 10 with 38,000 units sold this week. The album has sold over 3,768,000 units since its release and previously peaked at #1 for 13 weeks.
