George Barlow: Indigenous Man on Life Support and Dog Dies After Encounter With Inyo Sheriff Department’s Officers

George Barlow was left hospitalized after an encounter with officers from the Inyo County Sheriff Department. Barlow dog was shot to death during this incident.

According to the GoFundMe page set up by his cousins Jolie Varela and Tera Hays, the encounter happened because George appeared to ‘fit the description’ of another person the officers was looking for that night.

An Instagram post by Indigenous Women Hike claims that Officer Ryan Cuthbert and Officer Timothy Noonan/Inyo County Sheriffs Department are responsible for brutalizing George Barlow and killing his dog.

Inyo County Sheriff Department have yet to addressed this incident. We will keep you updated on this story.
