The official trailer for season four of Disney+’s fan-favorite Original series, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” was released today.
Season four of the Emmy and TCA Award-winning series, created and executive produced by Tim Federle, will see the Wildcats return to East High to prepare for a stage production of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” However, plans are disrupted when Disney announces that the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” film will be shot on location at their beloved high school, in a meta twist unique to the series.
Joshua Bassett (“Ricky”), Sofia Wylie (“Gina”), Dara Reneé (“Kourtney”), Julia Lester (“Ashlyn”), Frankie Rodriguez (“Carlos”), Kate Reinders (“Miss Jenn”), and Liamani Segura (“Emmy”) star in the fourth season. This season also features recurring guest stars Mark St. Cyr (“Mr. Mazzara”), Matt Cornett (“E.J.”), Larry Saperstein (“Big Red”), Joe Serafini (“Seb”), Adrian Lyles (“Jet”), and Saylor Bell Curda (“Maddox”).
Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed, and Kaycee Stroh will reprise their “High School Musical” roles as “Chad Danforth,” “Taylor McKessie,” “Ryan Evans,” “Coach Jack Bolton,” “Ms. Darbus,” and “Martha Cox,” respectively, and the Wildcats will appear as featured extras in the film.
The final season of the Disney Branded Television series will premiere all episodes simultaneously on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Disney+ currently offers the first three seasons of the GLAAD Media and Kids Choice Award-winning series.
