Grammy® Award-nominated artist Ice Spice has made a triumphant return with her latest single, “Gimmie A Light,” marking the first official release from her upcoming debut album, Y2K. Produced by her long-time collaborator RiotUSA, the track features a sample from dancehall legend Sean Paul’s 2002 hit, “Gimme the Light.”

Ice Spice, known for her effortless star power and rapid-fire delivery, delivers a high-energy song jam-packed with whip-smart bars and addictive melodies. The song is a testimony to her skill and demonstrates her powerful vocal command, cementing her position as a global celebrity.

Ice Spice again engaged the assistance of New York City natives George and Frederick Buford, commonly known as The Evil Twins, for the accompanying music video. The visually breathtaking film takes viewers on a voyage through high-glamour circumstances, with the Bronx Baddie starring in a succession of intriguing moments.

Ice Spice offered fans a taste of “Gimmie A Light” with a sneak-peek performance at Coachella last month, earning amazing reviews and cementing her place as a festival favorite. With her career on the rise, many believe she will headline Coachella shortly.

Y2K, due out later this year, has been dubbed one of the most anticipated albums of 2024. The title, which refers to Ice Spice’s birthday on January 1, 2000, promises a compilation of songs that highlight her remarkable brilliance and range. The CD will also include her latest popular tune, “Think U The Shit (Fart).”

Ice Spice’s debut EP, Like…?, released in 2023, gained critical acclaim and included singles such as “Munch (Feelin U),” “In Ha Mood,” and “Princess Diana.”
