Issa Rae will debut her new show ‘Rap Sh*t’ on HBO MAX

Warner Media HBO Max presentation, they just announced that Issa Rae is producing a series that looks at the Miami music scene from the POV of black women characters.

Rap Sh*t, an original scripted series produced by Issa Rae exploring the music business in Miami through the eyes of three women – an upstart hip hop duo and their hustler manager.

HBO Max is scheduled to officially launch May 2020, the streaming platform promises more than 10,000 hours of programming, including all of South Park and Rick and Morty, Studio Ghibli movies, a Grease spinoff TV series, a Boondocks revival, The Big Bang Theory, and a number of one-hour Adventure Time specials. There are also a number of new DC Comics adaptations, including Green Lantern, Strange Adventures, and DC Super Hero High. HBO Max will be priced at $15/month, the same as HBO proper.
