The official trailer for the movie “Over Your Dead Body” was released on Wednesday, and it’s an action-comedy that follows a married couple with killer vibes.
Directed by Jorma Taccone, the movie will have its world premiere on March 14th at the South by Southwest Film Festival and will be released in the US on April 24th.
Taccone, a former SNL cast member and member of the comedy trio The Lonely Island, has directed other movies, including “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping” and “MacGruber.”
“Over Your Dead Body” follows the story of a messed-up married couple, played by Segel and Weaving, who head to a remote cabin to reconnect, not knowing that the other partner has a secret plan to kill them.
The movie also stars Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine.
Scott Shooman, the founder of the Independent Film Group, praised the movie in a statement on the release of the movie’s trailer:

Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney wrote the screenplay. Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer, Guy Danella, Lee Kim, Kjetil Omberg, Jørgen Storm Rosenberg, Tommy Wirkola, Taccone, Maxime Cottray, Nate Bolotin, Timo Argillander, Andrea Scarso, and Karen Gillan are the producers. Jeremy Cohen edits the movie. Matthew Weston is the cinematographer. Joseph A. Hodges is the production designer. Ninna Päiväläinen is the costume designer, and Melissa Kostenbauder handles casting.
The movie is produced by 87North, XYZ, and Resolute Films.
“Over Your Dead Body” is set to be released in theaters nationwide starting April 24th.
