Jordi released her debut self-titled album “Jordi” today. It is a 12-track album and has maintained the virality she created when she first broke out.
The album includes fan favorites such as “Over Love,” “Pretty Intentions,” “Different,” “Butterflies,” and “Unlearn You,” as well as seven other tracks that showcase her development from a young, upbeat pop star to a more mellow singer-songwriter.
“Releasing a self-titled album kind of feels like saying, ‘hi world, it’s me,” said Jordi. “It sounds intimidating, but I truly think the through line in the music I’ve made for this project is me, which I find really exciting. Being able to share something I love so much, and to connect with people through that music, feels incredibly special.”
Jordi is 22 years old and from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She comes from a very arts-oriented background. She was constantly in dance studios, competing and performing. She began writing songs in the seventh grade. She was just writing in her room and using music to process her emotions and the world around her.
She first rose to fame with cover videos on both TikTok and YouTube, where her emotive voice immediately captured the attention of many viewers. She also released her debut single, “Hate You,” towards the end of 2022. This single accumulated over 22 million streams and topped the top-trending songs on Snapchat.
What began with viral momentum has escalated into a large online fan base, with Jordi racking up nearly 19 million followers across his social media platforms, 4.5 billion YouTube views, and over 50 million total streams.
