Jorja Smith Sophomore Album 'Falling or Flying’ Releases September 29th

Jorja Smith is gearing up to take over the music world once more this fall. ‘Falling or Flying,’ her eagerly anticipated second album, will be released on September 29th.

Smith shared her album cover on Instagram today, which was shot by the legendary British photographer Liz Johnson Artur.

The upcoming album combines Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Funky House, resulting in a genre-defying fusion. According to a press release, Jorja Smith reveals the new album “touches on breakups, relationships with my friends, relationships with old friends, and relationships with myself.” “It’s definitely about a lot of relationships,” Smith adds, “but I can sing every song I write to myself.”

The Walsall singer has already released two singles from her upcoming album, “Try Me” and “Little Things,” both of which were produced by DAMEDAME*. In a press release, Smith says, “I don’t slow down enough.” “This album is similar to my brain. “There’s always so much going on,” Smith says, “but each song is definitely a standstill moment.”

To mark the release of her new album, ‘Falling or Flying,’ she has announced a series of album launch shows across the UK. If you plan on attending the launch shows, you can get your tickets here.

Smith’s previous projects include the 2018 album, ‘Lost & Found’ and the 2021 EP ‘Be Right Back.’ She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
