Judge Rules Jussie Smollett Case File Can Be Unsealed

Judge orders Jussie Smollett criminal file unsealed, two months after Cook County prosecutors abruptly dropped bombshell charges alleging he staged a hate crime attack on himself.

Judge Steven Watkins said Jussie Smollett can’t claim privacy rights after he went before TV cameras after his case was dismissed. “These are not the actions of a person seeking to maintain his privacy or simply to be let alone,” he said.
