Keanu Reeves is considered one of the nicest men in Hollywood, not only for his acting qualities or his charisma, but also for his simple lifestyle and for his altruistic contributions to society.
The actor donated 70% of what he earned in the Matrix to research against leukemia, a type of cancer that attacks blood-forming tissues in the body.
In 1991, Keanu’s younger sister, Kim, was diagnosed with leukemia, a disease she had to deal with for 10 years, and for which the actor put a brief hiatus from his career to care for her.
In addition to donating much of his salary to the Matrix to help find a cure for this disease, Reeves started a foundation that helps children with cancer.
