Investigators find unidentified human remains while searching for Lauren Cho, who’s been missing since June.

Cho has been missing under suspicious circumstances from the Yucca Valley/Morongo Valley area in California since June 28th.

The young woman moved cross country, New Jersey to California with her friend Cody Orell after quitting her job searching for a better life and better opportunities. The two moved into a small community called the Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea. Cho eventually bought an old school bus and had plans to turn into a food truck to make ends meet. Cho was working as a private chef before she disappeared.

The last person to see Cho was Cody Orell. He revealed to the Hi-Desert Star that she disappeared when he briefly went into the tour bus the two crossed the country with.

“There was a 10 minute window there and she evaporated,” Orell said. He said he searched for her before calling 911.

The Sheriff office revealed they received a call that Cho was missing around 5:13 pm on June 28th. Authorities also stated that she got upset and walked into the hills between Morongo Valley and Yucca Valley. The report said Orell and her friends searched for her before calling for law enforcement.
