LiL Wayne and Drake Bodied “Family Feuds” Remix

Lil Wayne just released “Family Feuds” remix featuring Drake and it looks we have the old Weezy F Baby back. Drake starts off the song by name dropping and addressing some important figures in our culture.

Drake mentions that he was with Puff while Puff was talking to Kap on the phone. This could be some irony but it could also be the truth because Diddy does want to buy the Panthers and Kap wants in too. Another line that sticks out in the song is when Drake mentions how Universal and Cash Money owe Lil Wayne money. Drake says “Ayy, tell me if TD bank is approving  loans, I’m thinking about paying Wayne what Universal owes, my n*gga spent a lifetime going platinum and gold, he should own half of the label sh*t outta of control.” Well I don’t think Lil Wayne is going to get paid anytime soon due to Birdman facing a 12 million dollar foreclosure on his luxurious Miami mansion.

Drake also might have a change heart about Meek Mill. Drake and Meek Mill started beefing because Meek Mill exposed Drake to the world for having “Ghost Writers” and Drake responded with the 2015 summer anthem Back to Back. In the Family Feud Remix it seems like Meek has Drake support for his jail sentence. Drake says, “We gon’ have to break the billi’ curse, I need my paper long like “A Milli” verse, Or, too long like a sentence from a Philly judge, F*ck is the point in all the beefing when we really blood, Nobody wins when the family feuds, nigga.” When Meek gets of prison maybe we will see a Drizzy and Meek collaboration down the road again.

Lil Wayne comes in gun blazing on his verse. Most rappers spit a 16 or 32 but Lil Wayne was like let me get my 128. Just kidding but Lil Wayne is the goat of metaphors and he had one that really stuck out to me. Lil Wayne said, “Put on the gloves like MJ, go from OG to OJ, I make you pay attention then rip your receipt in your face, This for Cita and Nae, This for my people and BAE, I got three sons of a gun, Them niggas keep me on safe” personally I just thought those lines were bars.
