Comedian and podcaster Theo Von took an involuntary tumble backward into the lap of fellow attendee Logan Paul when his chair collapsed at President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025.
In an incident that transpired in the U.S. Capitol’s Emancipation Hall, Logan Paul captured the footage on video and later shared it across all social media platforms.
The video shows Logan Paul filming himself at the ceremony when suddenly Theo Von, seated right in front of him, falls backward as his folding chair collapses.
The incident shocked the people standing around him, including Logan’s brother Jake Paul. Logan Paul posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, saying, “Make chairs great again,” making light of the situation.
Theo Von later took to social media to address the mishap. He jokingly said it was not an accident and that the Paul brothers had rigged his chair, writing: “wasn’t an accident. Paul kids thought it was to mess.”

Logan Paul claimed he had nothing to do with the broken chair. He said that Theo knew that was a bad chair and was told it was a bad chair; yet, he still sat on it.
“I’m a WWE superstar; that’s how you know it wasn’t me. You went through a chair and not a table,” Logan continued, relying on his wrestling skills to let everyone know this was not him.
