Los Angeles County is asking a judge to force Vanessa Bryant and others – including her children and siblings of plane crash victims – to submit to a lengthy psychiatric evaluation as part of a lawsuit over photographs of the wreckage made public.

LASD Deputies Joey Cruz, Rafael Mejia, Michael Russell, and Raul Versales shared photos of the helicopter crash site that killed her husband Kobe Bryant, daughter and seven other victims.

The lawsuit includes that situation where a deputy was at a bar and showed the pics to a woman he was trying to impress.
Vanessa added in the lawsuit that she Sheriff Villanueva tried to cover it up by going to the Sheriff’s substation, which responded to the fatal crash, and telling the deputies if they deleted the photos they would not be faced with discipline.

“Ms. Bryant feels ill at the thought of strangers gawking at images of her deceased husband and child, and she lives in fear that she or her children will one day confront horrific images of their loved ones online.”

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, including punitive damages.
