New video shows Tacoma police officer punching, restraining Manuel Ellis before he died: A new video was released this week, three months after Tacoma police killed Manuel Ellis while he was being restrained.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday ruled the death of Manuel Ellis, who died in early March while in the custody of the Tacoma police following a traffic stop, as a homicide. Manuel Ellis, 33, died of respiratory arrest to hypoxia, due to physical restraint.
Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards calls for the firing and prosecution “to the fullest extent of the law” of the officers involved in the death of Manuel Ellis in police custody in March.
James Bible, the attorney representing Manuel Ellis family did a press conference yesterday. Ellis mother also spoke on her son tragic death.
This is disgusting like they are so many police officers in the world that brutalizing the people they are supposed to protect. The ones who aren’t checking them or letting them get away with this are just as worse as them.
