Reality TV star Masika Kalysha has been getting heat on social media with videos circulating showing her with rapper Hood Trophy Bino just weeks after her estranged husband Jamar Champ’s death in a freeway crash that shocked fans and his relatives.

The timing now is polarizing public opinion against her on social media.

A Deadly Crash on Houston’s Katy Freeway

The crash made local and reality TV headlines because Champ has a young daughter, Amari, with Kalysha, who is a well-known face on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.

Although they were estranged, they remained linked because of their child.

A Viral Funeral Post on Facebook

Kalysha was with their daughter at Champ’s funeral at the start of this month and posted emotional photos online. There was one showing Kalysha embracing Amari. There was another who openly mourned.

Her caption was strong:

“Grief as the loudest silent echo.”

Fans started supporting her with condolences and positive messages. Others were complimenting her for being strong for her daughter at such a difficult time.

Yet sympathy for him soon waned.

New Videos, New Man, New Drama

A few days later, videos emerged showing Kalysha with 25-year-old rapper Hood Trophy Bino, who publicly declared her “the love of my life.”

Then came the shift in mood.

Some felt that she was moving too soon, that she was not taking into account how her late husband’s relatives would feel or how her child was feeling. Others pointed to age differences.

Even members of Even Champ’s own family took to social media to express that it was inappropriate and painful.

Social Media Goes Wild!

People reacted fiercely to this on every platform. While some stood with her, defending her right to live her life just like others, not many did. Some comments on her page and shared posts read:

“She posted those crying pics just to move on 20 minutes later. I hope her husband can open the doors to hell when she arrives.”

“It’s been 20 days since their wedding? Their marriage had to be terrible because she’s moved on so soon.”

“This is messed up. You could’ve waited three months or done it silently out of respect.”

“Older women are creeps just like older men.”

“It’s scary. She can’t even wait a month.”

“She’s grieving; she’ll regret this in a few months.”

“Damn, wasn’t she just crying at her husband’s funeral? Guess it only takes four business days.” “We, as a community, should cease to give those types of people attention.”
