Meek Mill granted a new court hearing in Philadelphia

The rapper was granted a new appellate court hearing with Pennsylvania’s Superior Court. The hearing will take place on July 16th.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that the Philadelphia District Attorney agrees with Meek’s legal team in that Judge Genece Brinkley, who has presided over his case for years, was not being objective with the artist. After it was alleged that she asked for a shoutout in a song by Nicki Minaj and Meek, that became clear to us all. Finally, there is some progress being made because today, it was revealed that Meek was granted a hearing to possibly have his original conviction overturned in front of Superior Court Judges.

Meek Mill legal team will work hard to clear his name. Meek lawyer made a statement today about the great news.

“We’re looking forward to the oral argument before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and to, hopefully, having Meek Mill’s conviction vacated,” Mill’s lawyer Jordan Siev said in a statement.

Meek Mill has lost millions dollars just on appearances and performances because he couldn’t travel outside of the country. Hopefully, that all changes on July 16th. Meek had been a great ambassador and role model for the city of Philadelphia.
