Netflix is set to unveil a captivating reality series, “Super Rich in Korea,” offering viewers a golden ticket into the extravagant world of Seoul’s top 1%. These are individuals who have made the vibrant city their second home, driven by their love for K-culture and luxury living.
The series introduces viewers to five ultra-wealthy individuals whose lavish lifestyles are bound to leave anyone’s jaw-dropping. First in line is Yoo Hee-ra, Korea’s sole client ambassador for luxury brands. With a wardrobe spanning an entire 100 square meters, Yoo Hee-ra shares her fashion philosophy with endearing honesty.
Next up is super influencer Noor Naem, whose passion for bags and infectious energy has garnered her over 50 million followers on social media. Kim Anna, a noblewoman from Pakistan, enthralls hosts Cho Sae-ho, BamBam, and Mimi with her captivating life stories.
Adding a touch of humor are Singaporean business tycoon David Yong, known for his straightforward nature, and Teodoro Marani, a romantic who moved to Korea after leaving his family’s luxury brand business. Their contrasting personas in Korean blind dating promise moments of laughter and sympathy, as viewers wonder how these affluent men navigate the dating scene.
But “Super Rich in Korea” is more than just opulence. It delves into the daily lives of these elites, their passions, and the reasons behind choosing Korea as their second home. The series zooms into their deep appreciation for Seoul, capturing the essence of their unique stories.
The production team revealed that casting was the most time-consuming and challenging aspect of developing the series. “Each cast member has a unique story,” they share. David Yong was impressed with his journey of investing in K-pop while maintaining his down-to-earth charm. Yoo Hee-ra’s determination and Teodoro’s choice to live in Korea despite a secure future back home are equally inspiring. Kim Anna, a workaholic noblewoman, embraces her Korean identity, and Noor Naem stands out as a self-made queen of the Arabic beauty industry.
Directed by Yuh Woon-hyuk, the creative genius behind hit variety shows like Knowing Brothers, and Park Hye-seong, “Super Rich in Korea” promises to engage viewers by showcasing the lives of these super-rich individuals beyond their glamorous exteriors.
Don’t miss the premiere of “Super Rich in Korea” on May 7, exclusively on Netflix.
