Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has postponed the release of her new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” in the wake of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The lifestyle series, which was set to launch on January 15, will now make its debut on March 4.

In a statement, Meghan thanked Netflix for understanding the need to postpone the documentary series, saying she wants to devote more time to the victims of devastating fires in California, her home state.

“With Love, Meghan” will be an eight-episode series where Meghan shares effective tips and speaks candidly with friends on how beauty can be created through simplicity and playfulness. Some of the guests in the series are actress Mindy Kaling and chef Alice Waters.

The wildfires have affected Los Angeles to the extent that it has taken at least ten lives, displaced a lot of citizens, and damaged over 10,000 buildings with an estimated cost of $150 billion.

Alongside her husband, she has been part of the relief work via the Archewell Foundation: sheltering people, distribution of basic supplies, and financial donations to needy people. Meghan also paid a visit to victims and first responders at the Pasadena Convention Center and called for the importance of getting their voice heard in all this tragedy.

The decision to delay the show’s airing speaks to Meghan’s investment in her community and also a desire to prioritize relief at this time for California residents.
