Netflix has officially announced that the highly anticipated Swedish adaptation of the hit dating series “Love is Blind” is set to premiere on January 12, 2024. The charismatic television presenter Jessica Almenäs will host the Swedish version, bringing her energy and charm to guide participants through this captivating social experiment.

As the host of “Love is Blind Sweden,” Jessica Almenäs expressed her excitement about being part of this unique dating experiment. Having been a devoted fan of the original US series, Almenäs is thrilled to play a pivotal role in supporting the brave individuals searching for love in this extraordinary way.

“I am so excited to be a part of this fascinating and completely unique experiment. I have been a big Love is Blind fan ever since the first season aired in the US. It feels fantastic that I now have the opportunity to host the Swedish version and be there to support our brave participants. For a hopeless romantic like me, it’s a dream job,” Jessica Almenäs said.

Jessica Almenäs, known for her role as a television presenter and reporter, has previously hosted popular shows such as “Let’s Dance” (Strictly Come Dancing), “Biggest Loser,” and “Superstars.”

“Love is Blind Sweden” follows the same format as its international counterparts. Singles seek love and engage in the ultimate experiment, looking to get engaged without ever meeting their potential life partners in person. Over four weeks, participants move in together, plan their weddings, and explore whether a physical connection can complement their emotional bond. The ultimate question arises on their wedding day: will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with, or will external factors jeopardize their relationship?

The series will be released globally on Netflix, with new episodes rolling out each Friday across 10 episodes. The schedule is as follows:

  • Batch 1: January 12, 2024 (4 episodes)
  • Batch 2: January 19, 2024 (4 episodes)
  • Batch 3: January 26, 2024 (The Weddings)
  • Batch 4: To be announced (Reunion)

Produced by Mastiff, “Love is Blind Sweden” is set to offer a captivating journey into love, relationships, and the unpredictable dynamics of blind connections. Save the date as this thrilling series is set to unfold on Netflix on January 12, 2024.
